BOOKING CONDITIONS
Payment of the outstanding balance is due six weeks before the start of your holiday. We expect payment to be made before 28 days before your holiday start date. If we have not received your payment by 28 days before the holiday, we reserve the right to charge a £5 additional fee to your booking if we need to send out reminder invoices by post. We also reserve the right to cancel your booking if you do not pay within the agreed timeframe after being contacted by us, and replace your booking with another guest from our waiting list.
CANCELLATION
If you cancel your booking, a refund may be available, as detailed below.
Please let us know, as soon as possible, if you are unable to take your holiday.
Please note that if you cancel within four weeks of the holiday and haven’t actually paid for your holiday before that time, there will be a cancellation fee based on the amount of refund you would be due below.
We work out how much you would be refunded if you had paid for your holiday in the normal timeframe, the cancellation fee is the amount of holiday minus the refundable amount.
As an example, if your holiday was £420, (£20 is a non-refundable deposit), so you should have paid another £400. If you didn’t do this, and cancel less than 3 weeks before the holiday, you would be due 25% of total cost (minus deposit) as a refund. So you should have paid £400 and received £100 back as refund, meaning your cancellation fee is £300.
We do not like to do this, and it very rarely happens, but as your holiday with us is a binding contract, exactly the same as if you were booking a holiday on the internet or through a hotel, failure to pay the cancellation fee will mean that we involve our debt recovery service and if needs must, go through the small claims court.
| Time of Cancellation | Refund |
| More than Four weeks before holiday starts | All holiday cost refunded (minus non-refundable deposit) |
| Less than Four weeks before holiday starts | 50% of total cost (minus non-refundable deposit) |
| Three weeks before holiday starts | 25% of total cost (minus non-refundable deposit) |
| Within two weeks of holiday starting or failure to arrive | No Refund |
To minimise the risk, we advise you to take out holiday insurance.
Bedrooms are available to incoming guests from 2.00pm, with a drink served shortly afterwards in the lounge; please time your arrival accordingly. Following breakfast on your final day, we ask guests to vacate their bedrooms by 9.30am.
