Parkside Guest House is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty at the foot of Arnside Knott. If you take a walk to the top of Arnside Knott you will be rewarded with delightful views over the Kent estuary towards the Lakeland hills. The surrounding countryside offers many attractive walks and places to explore. The Lake District is also within easy reach, by car, train or bus. Close by are Kendal and Lancaster – both historic towns with modern facilities and Grange-over-Sands is just a short rail journey across the estuary.

On many of our weeks a Host helps you to make the most of your holiday by arranging a variety of social and leisure activities during the day and informal entertainment in the evenings. Having sampled the convivial atmosphere, many of our guests return year after year to renew old acquaintances and make new friends.

All rooms in the original house are accessed by stairs and a lift makes for easy access to rooms in the new wing. Previous guests have been very complimentary about our food, and, our chefs are happy to cater for your special dietary requirements. We are licensed to sell wine or beer with evening meals. If you choose to go further afield packed lunches can be provided.

If you would like to spend the day at Parkside we have plenty to keep you busy, with a bowling green and a putting green within the grounds you can challenge your fellow guests. Or you may choose to relax in our beautiful gardens and watch the world go by.

We offer various "themed" holidays such as Bridge, Walking and Whist. Our coach holidays are also very popular.

You may decide you would like to visit us over the Christmas period during which time we have a variety of Christmas & New Year events. We have Tinsel & Turkey weeks in the run up to Christmas, and our New Year holiday will help you unwind after all the madness! Details of these can be sent on request.
